Redmi has unveiled its new Redmi Go smartphone. The phone is expected to be based on Google’s Android Go platform, however, the company is yet to confirm this in the very few details of the Redmi Go that it has revealed on Tuesday. According to the company, the phone features a 5-inch HD screen and is powered by an unspecified quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
The company has announced the phone via its official global Twitter account. The image shared by Xiaomi on Twitter indicates that Redmi Go will be offered in Black and Blue colors. As of now, there is no word on India price and launch of the handset.

As per the tweet by Xiaomi, Redmi Go sports a 5-inch HD screen with 16:9 aspect ratio. The handset is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon chipset under the hood. The phone comes with a 3,000mAh battery. There is an 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera in the smartphone. The image does not reveal anything for the operating system but the handset is expected to run Android Oreo (Go Edition).
