Sorry, nothing in cart.
As is clear by the name the Vivo Z1x is an evolved version of Vivo Z1 pro and the company has invested good efforts to incorporate the advanced features like improved camera, better security options, advanced performance, and some other welcome changes. It has certainly allowed the brand to deliver a great user experience. However, just like every other model this phone too has its share of pros and cons. Let us take a closer look and see if it is the phone worth investing:
The phone has beautified the design language and the new design is more refined with a better-looking gradient finishing which offers a distinctly graceful look to the back panel. The fewer bezels offer a minimalist look to the front but the plastic body affects the glamour quotient.
The phone comes with a 6.38” Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ clarity. At 2340X1080 pixels the resolution it is retina-friendly and delivers better details. This perfect combo enriches the media experience whether you are watching long series, playing games or just browsing through the photos. It has a Widevine certification.
The device has a 4500mAh battery that supports fast charging and it is shipped with 22.5W fast charger. A single charge results in an entire day of performance when used modestly but heavy usage like gaming, media and working with heavy apps will reduce the life to 7-8 hours. The good thing is that the fast charger can juice up a drained out battery in less than 1.5 hours.
The device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor paired with Adreno 616 GPU with 6GB RAM. The storage capacity isn’t much but you can easily extend it to 128GB through Micro SD card. The device fares well during routine usage like browsing and communication as well as heavy usage including pubg games, multitasking and working with demanding applications. The gaming fans can also enable an ultra game mode that optimizes the gaming experience for maximum entertainment with minimum interruptions.
For the security the phone offers an in-display fingerprint scanner that is decently responsive and the fingerprint reader comes with the multiple animation choices. There is facial recognition as well which also works well provided there is sufficient light around.
The speaker’s quality doesn’t go beyond average especially when talking about bass. The device trip camera has a 48MP primary lens along with a wide-angle sensor of 8MP and a depth sensor with 2MP resolution. Photos shot during daylight excel in turns of clarity and color saturation but the night photos fail to impress and you can notice irritating grains and lots of noise.
Low light performance of the camera is almost disappointing. Lack of details and too much of noise dims the overall character of images. The night mode doesn’t go much beyond adding some brightness without improving the other aspects of images. So it is certainly not your reliable partner to take night party shots. The Selfies don’t have a better story to tell either. If shot during low lights he Selfies loose their very appeal.
A high-grade plastic has been utilized to produce the phone that doesn’t look or feel cheap. Moreover, it offers dependable durability as well. However, the only drawback is that the body easily gets smudged that spoils the looks and compels you to clean repetitively.
The phone comes with several pre-installed apps that are more annoying than helpful. It compels you to delete most of the apps and while the third-party apps can be deleted there is no way to delete the proprietary apps,
The user interface isn’t well organized and you need to dive deep within the setting menu for finding out your desired option which is very annoying. The device also lacks the app drawer which could have made navigation easier.
It is a high-efficiency lightweight Smartphone with a quite better camera and improved performance as compared to its predecessor. The phone assures a swift performance and displays images with better clarity that delivers a refined look
The photos taken during daylight come out crisp and detailed with nice color saturation but the performance shimmers during the low light conditions. The UI isn’t organized well and there’s a lot of bloatware to struggle with. The battery has a long life and supports fast charging. The device comes with a fairly responsive fingerprint sensor. Overall it is an average model that comes with some interesting features and offers a good value for the money but with a few compromises.
